Court orders preview screening of ''Sacred Evil''

Mumbai, May 29 (UNI) The Bombay High Court today directed the producer and exhibitor of the forthcoming film ''Sacred Evil'' to arrange a preview screening for the Catholic Secular Forum (CSF) and Gerald Coelho who had opposed its release on the ground that it might hurt Christian sentiments.

A petition had been filed by Mr Coelho last week saying that the posters and television promos of the film suggested that the film could hurt the religious sentiments of Christians. The CSF had written to the Censor board raising the same objections.

Following the petition, the High Court today directed Sahara One Motion Pictures, the producer, and exhibitor Percept Pictures to arrange a screening of the movie for Mr Coelho and two representatives of the CSF on May 31.

Mr Coelho and the CSF representatives will submit their opinion on the film to the court on June 1 after viewing it. The film is slated for release on June 2.
