Boam hoax in Sayajinagari Express, passengers evacuated

Bhuj, May 29 (UNI) Passengers of the Sayajinagari Express, between Bhuj and Bandra were evacuated following a bomb hoax this evening.

The Railway Protection Force received a phone call saying a bomb had been planted in the train which was scheduled to depart from Bhuj for Bandra at 1830 hrs today.

The police rushed to the station and evacuated nearly 500 passengers in 22 compartment. The train was thoroughly checked and sniffer dogs were pressed into service but nothing was found.

A bomb disposal squad has also been summoned from Rajkot which will also inspect the train and only then will the train be allowed to leave from Bhuj.
