Two dreaded criminals killed by UP police
Lucknow, May 28 (UNI) Two dreaded criminals of western UP- Ranpal Gujjar and Isanpal- were killed by police in an encounter in the Bullandsahar district today.
State director general of police (DGP) Bua Singh said that two country-made pistols, one mobile phone and a motorcycle were recovered from the possession of the deceased.
There were more than one dozen cases of crime pending against Ranpal in Delhi and UP, the DGP said.
Ranpal was the younger brother of former Gautambuddha nagar zila panchayat chairman Naresh Bhati, who had been murdered in 2004.
Ranpal was also involved in couple of murders in the Sunder Bhati gang, who was said to be behind the killing of Naresh Bhati.
Meanwhile, chief minister Mulayam Singh Yadav has announced a reward of Rs one lakh to the police team who were involved in the encounter.
