Tripura urges Centre to send experts to tackle malaria
Agartala, May 28 (UNI) The CPI(M)'s Tripura state committee has urged the Centre to send experts and medical help for tackling Malaria, which has spread in some areas of Dhalai, North Tripura and West districts.
At the end of the two-day meeting, the state committee said the state Government had pressed into service helicopters to carry specialist doctors and medicines to the affected areas to tackle the outbreak of the mosquito-borne disease.
It said sufficient medicines had already been sent to the affected areas and the victims had been getting benefits of these medicines in some of the affected areas. Temporaray medical camps had also been set up in these areas.
A campaign had already been launched to fight the further spread of the disease, it added.
