Randhawa slips to tied 56th in BMW PGA Championship
Virginia Water, England, May 28 (UNI) Jyoti Randhawa kept squandering his chances and slipped to tied 56th after carding a four-over 72 in the penultimate round of the BMW PGA Championship.
The top ranked Indian golfer had the worst possible start hitting a double bogey on the very first hole. After a couple of level-par shots, he recovered with two birdies on the fourth and sixth. But the recovery proved to be a flash in the pan as he dropped two successive shots on the eighth and ninth.
Randhawa was two-over at the half-way mark.
On his way back, he started off well with a birdie, which was the only highlight of his otherwise poor second-nine as he dropped three shots between 11th and 18th.
Earlier, UBS Asian Tour Order of Merit leader, Jeev Milkha Singh had crashed out after carding a horrendous second round of five-over 77 that took his tally to six-over 150.
Meanwhile, Englishman David Howell (202) maintained his lead at the top after a third round of three-under 72 that included four birdies against a lone bogey on the 10th hole.
