Male gynaecologist booked for outraging modesty of woman patient

Akola, May 28 (UNI) Noted gynacologist Dr Rajesh Modi was arrested for allegedly outraging the modesty of 21-year-old married woman patient in the city yesterday.

According to the police, the victim had visited the clinic to consult about her personal sex problem. While examing her, the doctor molested her, she alleged in her complaint. The doctor denied the allegation and claimed that he had examined her in presence of the clinic nurse.

When the news spread, Mrs Anita Deshmukh, Chief of district woman front of shiv sena, Ms Usha Virak the city unit woman chief congress rushed to the civil line police station in support the victim. The police registered the offence of outraging the modesty of woman patient against Dr Rajesh Modi under section 254 of Indian Penal Code.
