FICCI delegation to accompany Nath to France

New Delhi, May 28: Federation of Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) today announced a high power business delegation headed by its President Saroj K Poddar, will accompany the Commerce and Industry Minister Kamal Nath on his visit to France from May 30 to June 1.

Department of Industrial Policy&Promotion (DIPP) Secretary Ajay Dua will also be accompanying the minister, a release said.

The delegation will hold discussions in the fields of energy, biotechnology, IT, infrastructure, food processing, pharmaceuticals and environmental technology.

The 20-member CEOs delegation will meet the French Minister for External Trade, Chairman of the Economic Affairs Committee of the French Senate and French Industry leaders including Medef International Chairman Jean Burelle and Chambre de Commerce et d'Industrie de Paris (CCIP) delegation Vice President Elizabeth Herrier and senior representatives of companies like Alcatel, Alstom, Areva, Thales Air Systems and Sofema.

The members of FICCI delegation include leading industrialists like Videocon Group of Companies Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) V N Dhoot, S Kumars Director Mukul Kasliwal, KCP Ltd Managing Director V L Dutt, Nucleus Software MD Mr Vishnu Dusad,Indo Rama Synthetics CMD O P Lohia, and Fortis Healthcare Ltd Chairman Harpal Singh.

The FICCI CEOs delegation will raise several issues with French Government officials and business leaders, particularly the concerns on the Indian side on market access, free movement of professionals, rigid labour laws, taxation, red-tapism and administrative burden.
