Bangaldeshi killed in BSF firing on Tripura border
Agartala, May 28 (UNI) A Bangladeshi national was killed when BSF jawans opened fire to prevent a group of foreigners from crossing over to Tripura near Raisyabari in Dhalai district, official sources said today.
The sources said the BSF jawans, who were patrolling the border, challenged a group of infiltrators from Bangladesh yesterday. Being challenged the Bangladeshi nationals attacked the BSF jawans with lethal weapons including machets. The jawans opened fire killing one of the infiltrators on the spot. The rest, however, fled away to Bangladesh.
The body had been handed over to police for postmortem.
