Speaker meets Reddy, thanks him for stopping sealing/demolition driv

New Delhi, May 27 (UNI) Delhi Assembly Speaker Prem Singh today called on Union Urban Development Minister Jaipal Reddy and thanked him for saving lakhs of Delhiites from the sealing and demolition drive by bringing in a legislation and the subsequent notification.

He also thanked Congress President Sonia Gandhi, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Minister of state for Urban Development Ajay Maken for taking up the matter very earnestly, a statement said.

The sealing/demolition drive had brought in a feeling of insecurity among the people that was done away with the notification dated May 20, he said.
