Skeleton of kidnapped girl recovered

Mahoba, May 27 (UNI) Police today recovered the skeleton of a girl, who was allegedly kidnapped by armed men and gangraped in the district.

The 17-year-old girl was abducted from village Supa in Charkhari area recently by a criminal Alakhram and his accomplices, police said.

Later, she was gangraped and murdered.

Police superintendent Pradeep Chandra said all the accused had been arrested.

Meanwhile, Supa police outpost in-charge Vijay Singh had been removed and attached to the lines.

The villagers had earlier accused him of harbouring the people involved in the crime.

The district administration had also initiated proceedings to cancel all the firearm licenses in the village, since the girl was taken away by the criminals at gun point.
