S Arabia schools not to charge fee from expatriate women teachers
Dubai, May 27 (UNI) Providing temporary relief to Indian and other expatriate women teachers in Saudi Arabia, a proposal to impose annual fee on them at international schools has been rejected.
The financial committee of the 150-member consultative committee (Shoura) rejected the proposal for an annual fee of 1,000 Saudi Riyals that was aimed at encouraging educational institutes here, a source said.
The fee was to be imposed on expatriate women, who are not under the sponsorship of these schools, Arab News reported.
The committee members argue that the proposed annual fee would not discourage foreign recruitment.
