Robbers loot Aviva life insurance company office

Aurangabad, Maharashtra, May 27 (UNI) Two unidentified robbers gained entry into the office of Aviva Life Insurance Company here last night and escaped with booty valued at Rs 6 lakh.

According to police, the robbers entered the third-floor office around 2115 hrs. They threatened the security guard with the weapons and warned him against raising an alarm.

Around 2300 hrs, another guard reported for duty. But, the robbers overpowered him and tied both the security guards.

The robbers decamped with a projector, laptop, 16 CPUs, six monitors and cash Rs 7000, around 0230 hrs after which the guards raised an alarm.

The company branch manager, Vijay Sonawane, has lodged a complaint.
