Randhawa tied 32nd, Jeev misses cut in PGA Championship
Virginia Water, England, May 27 (UNI) Jyoti Randhawa hung on to his tied 32nd place with an even-par show but compatriot Jeev Milkha Singh's finerecent run came to an end as he missed the cut in the BMW PGA Championship.
Barring the birdies on fourth, seventh and 18th holes, nothing went right for the UBS Asian Tour Order of Merit leader. Jeev dropped six bogeys and dropped two shots on the 13th for a horrendous round of five-over 77 that took his tally to six-over 150 as he fell by the wayside.
Jyoti, however, stayed in the hunt for a decent finish despite struggling on par-four holes. The highest ranked Indian golfer sank five birdies to compensate for a couple of double bogeys and a dropped shot.
Jyoti is tied for 32nd at one-under 143 at the Wentworth Club.
David Howell soared to the lead at 11-under 133 with a scintillating 65 that included eight birdies against a lone bogey on the third hole.
