New correctional home for women in Alipore Jail

Midnapur, May 27 (UNI) The West Bengal government would set up an exclusive correctional home for women in the premises of Alipur Central jail, state's jails and social welfare minister Biswanath Chowdhury said.

Mr Chowdhury was here to attend a programme at the newly established warders training institute.

The Minister said this is the only training institute of its kind in this state built at a cost of Rs 1.50 crore on 19 bighas of land.
