Leopard mauls 3 dogs, 1 goat in Asundi village

Hubli, Karnataka, May 27 (UNI) A leopard, which had recently escaped from the Binkadakatte zoo in Gadag district, surfaced near Asundi village near the zoo.

Early today, the feline mauled three dogs and a goat and escaped under the cover of darkness when the villagers raised an alarm.

Gadag district Forest Officer Prasannakumar said all arrangements had been made to catch the feline.

It may be recalled that the leopard was captured from a school premises and sent to the zoo on May one last.
