Indonesia quake death toll jumps to 1,325 people

YOGYAKARTA, May 27 (Reuters) An earthquake that shook the area around Indonesia's ancient royal city of Yogyakarta early today killed at least 1,325 people, a government official said.

Kinta, an official from Social Ministry, told Elshinta news radio that the figure did not include people still buried or trapped under rubble of collapsed buildings.
