Hyderabad, May 27 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Backward Class (BC) Welfare Societies today organised a rally, supporting the government's proposal to provide 27 per cent reservation to OBCs in top educational institutions in the country.

College and university students, teachers and professors also participated in the rally organised from Sundaraiah park to Ram Nagar in the city, according to a press release.

Speaking on the occasion, state BC Welfare society President R Krishnaiah said the anti-reservation protests by the AIIMS and other medical college students should be stopped and they must understand the problems of the OBCs due to lack of educational opportunities in the IIT and IIM.
