Vadodara, May 27 (UNI) The anti-Aamir Khan protests in Vadodara today spread to the prestigious Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda.

Taking exception to the film star's support to Medha Patkar-led Narmada Bachao Andolan (NBA), the students of the university's science faculty today burnt posters of the actor's latest release 'Fanaa', the film which is banned in Gujarat by the BJP over Aamir's stand on the dam issue.

The protesters, shouting slogan against the cine star, also damaged scores of Coca Cola bottles, as Aamir happened to be the brand ambassador of the soft drink.

Meanwhile, local leaders of two main political parties, including city BJP president Sabdasaran Brahmabhatt and Congress Leader of Opposition in Vadodara Municipal Corporation (VMC) Chirag Zaveri, welcomed the decision of the film exhibitors of Gujarat not to show 'Fanaa' in the State.
