Swearing-in venue shifted in expectation of large crowds

Pondicherry, May 26 (UNI) For the first time, the venue for swearing in new ministers in Pondicherry has been shifted to Gandhi Thidal from Raj Nivas to accommodate more people.

The Rangasamy Cabinet will be expanded on May 29 and Lt.Governor M M Lakhera will administer the oath of office and secrecy to five Ministers - V Vaithilingam, E Valsaraj, M O H F Shajahan, Malladi Krishna Rao and A Angalan - at a function here.

After the swearing in ceremony at 0930 hours, the first session of the 12th Legislative Assembly would commence at 1230 hours when pro-tem speaker A V Sreedharan would administer the oath to newly elected members. The speaker's election is scheduled for June one.
