Mortal remains of 4 Gujarat tourists flown to Delhi

Srinagar, May 26 (UNI) The mortal remains of tourists from Gujarat, killed in a militant hand grenade at Hazratbal, and their wounded relatives were flown to New Delhi in a special aircraft today.

Official sources said the bodies of 8-year-old Fennal, Robin Rakesh (8 years), Kishna (15), Khushboo (18) besides injured Bhupali, Ratnesh, Shiv Bhopan, Ratnesh Kumar, Mormeen, Hemmat and driver Ratnesh Naveen were taken to Delhi in a special aircraft today.

The aircraft was arranged after Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi talked to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad after the blast.

Mr Modi requested Mr Azad to provide full protection to the tourists from Gujarat and other states in the valley.

However, he said, people from Gujarat will visit the valley despite the incident.

The tourists from Gujarat were killed and wounded when a hand grenade lobbed by militants exploded inside their bus when they were on way to Mughal Gardens on the banks of Dal Lake last evening.
