Lalu and family members visit tourist places in Shimla

Shimla, May 26 (UNI) Union Railway Minister Lalu Prasad today visited several tourist places in and around Shimla town of Himachal Pradesh on the second day of this three-day visit to the state, official sources said.

Mr Prasad visited the famous Jakhoo Temple in the morning where he offered bananas to the monkeys after praying in the temple and spent some time on the Jakhoo peak, overlooking the Shimla town.

The sources said he also visited the adjoining tourist resorts of Chharabra, Kufri, Matiana and Fagu on way to Narkanda, where he had lunch.

He spent some time at Matiana after being charmed at the sight of apple orchards, the sources said.

On his return to the state capital, he visited the famous wildflower hall hotel and was later scheduled to visit the Sankatmochan (Hanuman Temple) in the outskirts of the town, the sources added.
