K'taka Council polls: JD (S) yet to decide on issuing whip

Mysore, May 26 (UNI) Former Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister and Janata Dal (S) leader M P Prakash today said a decision on issuing a whip to party legislators in the coming elections to the Legislative Council would be taken in a couple of days.

Talking to reporters at Suttur, he said a decision would be taken after discussing the matter with party supremo H D Deve Gowda and Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy.

He said legal action would be initiated against former Deputy Chief Minister and AIPJD leader Siddaramaiah and his supporters, if they voted against the party in the coming elections.

Mr Prakash was at Suttur to take part in a three-day state-level Traditional Medical Practitioner's convention organised to encourage cultivation and use of traditional medicinal plants.

Over 300 doctors were taking part in the meet, inaugurated by Suttur seer Shivarathri Desikendra.
