Srinagar, May 26 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir government has announced an ex-gratia relief of Rs one lakh to the next of the kin of Gujarat tourists killed in a grenade attack at Hazratbal last evening.

An official spokesman said the injured will be paid Rs 5000.

Four tourists from Gujarat were killed and six were wounded when a grenade, lobbed from outside, exploded inside their vehicle at Batapora Hazratbal, about 12 km from here last evening.

The toursits were on way to the Mughal gardens when the incident took place.

A number of social, religious and political organisations have strongly condemned the attack on tourists and described it as ''an inhuman act.'' UNI BAS LS DB1812
