Host of "musical stars" enthrall Dehliites with their melodies
New Delhi, May 26 (UNI) Delhi seems to have become a favourite abode for many a star whether it be from the world of films or those from the world of music.
Even as a "mouthful of stars" from the tinsel world - Amitabh Bachchan , Tabu, "lover Boy" Emran Hashmi, "macho man" Sunny Deol, the "pretty" Amrita Rao, the charming Priyanka Chopra, the versatile star Akshay Kumar and the cute Shahid Kapur- descended on the Capital in the last few weeks, Delhiites were also treated to "sweet melodies" by a host of stars from the world of Music.
There was Punjabi pop star Mika, the younger brother of Punjabi pop king Daler Mehndi promoting his new album 'Something Something', which is a unique blend of sufi style music with the pop variety.
Then, the first week of May saw the rock band 'Euphoria', with its brand of musicians and singers, led by Dr Palash Sen, enthrall Delhiites with songs from their previous albums as well as their latest album 'Muhafiz'.
Rendering songs like the chartbusters 'Kabhi Aana Tu Meri Gali' and 'Chak Dhoom' with their usual gusto, the band members had an audience of hundreds of young boys and girls at the India Habitat Centre in thrall with their verve and tremendous passion for music.
Present on the occasion was Director Pradeep Sarkar of "Parineeta" fame who launched "Mehfuz" on mobiles at the India Habitat Centre last week.
With Euphoria's "Mehfuz", mobile entertainment company Handygo.com has introduced a new trend of launching music on cellular phones.
Produced under the banner of SA RE GA MA India Limited, the album has 12 new tracks embodying Euphoria's unique style of singing blending Indian folk music elements with modern rock. The lead track, "Mehfuz", has been penned down by Palash and Gulzar appears as a guest lyricist who has written two tracks, "Dil" and "Roshini".
Sounding upbeat about his latest collection of songs, Euphoria's lead singer Palash, who has come out with a new album after three years, said, "my style of singing is liked by the audience and I am back with a new album which I am sure will be the next super hit album." Last week saw the Zee SaRe Ga Ma Pa Challenge winner Debojit rock Delhiites at a live concert. It was Delhi's first tryst with Debojit since he emerged as the winner of the Zee talent hunt contest.
Accompanied by his wife, Debojit was here to promote an album of his songs titled 'Debojit'.
