Meanwhile, Mr Modi had spoken to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, who assured him all possible Central assistance to the Gujarati tourists who were killed and injured in the grenade attack on the outskirts of Srinagar in Jammu and Kashimir yesterday.

Four tourists, including two children and two teenagers, from Gujarat were killed and six others wounded in the attack, when the militants hurled a grenade at the bus. The tourists were on the way to Mughal Gardens on the banks of Dal Lake last evening.

The mortal remains of the tourists -- Fennal, 8, Robin Rakesh, 8, Kishna, 15, Khushboo, 18 -- were flown to Vadodara from Srinagar by an Indian Air Force (IAF) plane this afternoon and later shifted to Surat by road.
