CPI(M) wants agri loans of small farmers waived

Pondicherry, May 26 (UNI) The Pondicherry unit of the CPI(M) today urged the administration to waive off the agricultural loans of small and medium farmers on the lines of the Tamil Nadu government.

A resolution to this effect was adopted at the executive committee meeting of the party here, Secretary V Perumal said in a release.

Another resolution warned of massive agitations if the Centre ignored the demands of the Left parties and went ahead with the hike in the prices of petroleum products.
