CPI condemns disinvestment in NALCO
New Delhi, May 26 (UNI) The Communist Party of India(CPI) today condemned the government decision to disinvest in PSUs NALCO and Neyveli Lignite Corporation by five and 10 per cent respectively, saying it was in violation of the Commmon Minimum Programme(CMP).
In a statement here, the party said the UPA government should realise that PSUs and public sector banking industry were the strength of the economy, so making them weak was not in the interest of the country.
''The Government should address the issue of resource mobilisation differently for the which the Left has given several suggestions in the past,'' it said.
