Varanasi, May 26 (UNI) The screening of Aamir Khan-Kajol starrer 'Fanna' was disrupted by BJP activists at a theatre in Godowlia area here today.

BJP activists led by Anup Jaiswal reached the Spice KCM Multiplex, where the first show of the film was underway.

Shouting anti-Aamir Khan slogans, the workers burnt the posters of the Yash Raj banner film and entered the cinema hall.

Following protests, the management stopped the show for a short while.

''We stopped the show for sometime owing to protests, but once the police reached the spot, the activists vanished from the scene and the film was restarted,'' Manager of Spice KCM, Ashok Gupta told UNI.

''Heavy police deployment had been put in place in the two other cinema halls, Mazda in Luxa area and Taksal in Mint House area, to ensure that peace was not disturbed by anyone,'' Superintendent of Police (City) Anant Deo said.

He said over eight activists who disrupted shows of the movie today have been identified and action will be taken against them.
