A delegation of state officers to hold seminar in US

Patna, May 26 (UNI) A high level delegation of state's senior officers under the leadership of Chief Secretary G S Kang would leave for the US early next week to attend a seminar, organised by the Centre of International Development at Stanford University.

Mr Kang told UNI here that the seminar would provide Bihar with an opportunity to attract investors in backdrop of changes in policy and investment support infrastructure, which had been created in the state.

He said efforts were being made to solve problems coming in way of completing necessary formalities for preparation of visas.

The main focus was on presentation that the delegation would make on the sidelines of the three day seminar slated to commence on June one. The delegation would educate the leading figures in sectors like hospitality and IT services.

Other members of the delegation were State Planning Commission Chairman N K Singh, Industrial Development Commissioner S Vijayaraghavan, Agricultural Production Commissioner A K Sinha, Infrastructure Development Authority managing director Alok Chaturvedi and Bihar's resident commissioner in New Delhi C K Mishra.
