TN Govt announces extn of incentive to SS agents till Mar 2007
Chennai, May 25 (UNI) The Tamil Nadu government today announced the extension of the incentive payable to Small Savings (SS) agents till March 2007 at the rate of 0.5 per cent on mobilisation of Small Savings Collections.
The women agents, who were dealing with Postal Recurring Deposit, known as MPKBY agents would be paid two per cent incentive as usual, Small Savings Indormation Centre convener V Rajendran said in a release here.
Mr Rajendran, who is also the President of Tamil Nadu Small Savings Association said that agents expected that the newly elected state government would increase the incentive to one per cent, which was in force for nearly 18 years, but that was not done. He appealed to the DMK government to review the situation and provide one per cent incentive to the agents.
