Suicide attempt: Man dies, wife battling for life

Hubli, May 25 (UNI) A couple's attempt to commit suicide by consuming poison has resulted in the death of the man, while his wife was battling for life in a hospital here.

Police said Manju and Jyothi, married just a year ago, had consumed poison at their residence yesterday. They were shifted to the Karnataka Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS), where Manju succumbed this morning.

Jyothi was still under treatment at the KIMS.
