PM in the town, militants kill four and abduct one in J and K

Srinagar, May 25 (UNI) Militants killed four persons, including a resident from Uttar Pradesh (UP), injured 19 and abducted one in the Jammu and Kashmir overnight.

An official spoksman said militants killed one Nissar Ahmad Bhat near his Chewa Tral residence in the south Kashmir district of Pulwama today.

He said two bullet riddled bodies of Mohammad Amin and Noor Din were recovered at Sugadi Bata in Doda district of Jammu region last night. One pistol and two rounds were found tied around the neck of Noor Din, he said.

Spokesman said militants hurled a hand grenade towards security forces picket at Tankipora late last night which exploded on the roadside causing injuries to two security personnel and eleven civilians.

The injured were admitted to a hospital where one Mohammad Layak, a resident of Muradabad UP died.

Seven others, including four police personnel were injured in another grenade attack by militants at Zadibal in the down town city last night. The injured were hospitalised.

Militants kidnapped one Bashir Ahmad from Yaripora last night.
