Foreign currency coins in Balaji temple hundi

Tirupati, May 25 (UNI)The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam(TTD) found coins of foreign currency deposited in the hundi at the Venkateswara temple at Tirumala.

The coins weighing seven tonnes in all and mostly of Malaysian currency, will be exchanged through auction, TTD officials said.

In 2003, foreign currency coins weighing about ten tonnes were found deposited in the hundi. They were converted through an auction, the officials, said.
