Agriculturist donates Rs 15 lakh to CM for stadium construction

Hyderabad, May 25 (UNI) An agriculturist and philanthropist Anireddy Veera Reddy from Miryalaguda town of Nalgonda district today gave a cheque for Rs 15 lakh to Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy in his chamber in the Secretariat.

Mr Veera Reddy made the gesture for the construction of an indoor stadium in memory of his late father Anireddy Raghava Reddy, at the Nagarjuna Sagar Project (NSP) camp grounds in Miryalaguda.

Dr Reddy, welcoming the contribution, said the long cherished dreams and aspirations of sports lovers of the district to have a stadium would take the final shape with the donated amount. The total estimated cost of the indoor stadium was Rs 50 lakh.

Minister for Home and Housing Mr K Jana Reddy, Miryalaguda MLA Mr Joolakanti Ranga Reddy, Chairman APSTC Mr R Srinivas, Chairman Sports Authority of Andhra Pradesh Mr M S Raj thakur, MD SAAP Mr Kamalavardhana Rao were also present, according to an official release.
