PFC pays interim dividend of Rs 166 cr to GOI
New Delhi, May 24 (UNI) The Power Finance Corporation Ltd (PFC) today paid a third interim dividend of Rs 166.29 crore to the Government of India for 2005-06.
Power Minister Sushilkumar Shinde was presented with the cheque by PFC CMD V K Garg at office of the Ministry of Power. This is in addition to the Rs 195.24 crore interim dividend already paid to the government during 2005-06.
The corporation had joined the group of dividend paying PSUs in the year 1993-94 by declaring a dividend of Rs 10 crore. Since then it has been consistently paying high dividends to the Government of India year after year. PFC paid a dividend of Rs 385 crore for the year 2004-05.
The corporation has sanctioned an amount of Rs 94,052 crore and disbursed Rs 61,799 crore since its inception.
The sanctions and disbursements in the financial year 2005-06 was Rs 22,502 crore and Rs 11.681 crore respectively UNI ARB MP DB2022
