Four CRPF personnel among 15 injured in Kashmir blasts

Srinagar, May 24 (UNI) Militants caused a series of blasts causing injuries to fifteen people, including four Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) today when Prime Minister Manmohan Singh was in the town to chair the two-day Round Table Conference.

Official sources said militants threw a hand grenade towards a CRPF bunker at Saraf Kadal in the downtown causing injuries to a CRPF jawan and three civilians. The injured were hospitalised.

Official sources said militants also hurled a hand grenade towards a CRPF bunker at Qamarwari in the downtown today. However, it exploded just outside the bunker causing injuries to two CRPF personnel and eight others, including three Bihari labourers.

The injured were hospitalised, they said.

Militants also lobbed a hand grenade towards a CRPF patrol at Khanabal on the Srinagar-Jammu national highway causing injuries to one CRPF jawan. Militants later managed to escape, they said.
