Five Ministers to be sworn in on May 29 in Pondy

Pondicherry, May 24 (UNI) The Rangasamy Cabinet in Pondicherry will be expanded on May 29 with the swearing-in of five Ministers.

The new ministers would be sworn at 0930 hrs at a fuction here.

Lt Governor M M Lakhera would administer the oath of office and secrecy to them.

According to party sources, Mr V Vaithilingam, Mr E Valsaraj, Mr M O H F Shajahan, Mr Angalan and Mr Malladi Krishna Rao were the candidates for the ministerial posts.

Mr Rangasamy was sworn in as the Chief Minister on May 18. The rest of the Cabinet could not be formed because all the Congress legislators wanted a berth.

Mr Rangasamy made several visits to Delhi to resolve the tangle with the advice of Congress President Sonia Gandhi.
