BJP has 'no view' on screenig of Aamir Khan movie in Gujarat

New Delhi, May 24 (UNI) The BJP today said it had 'no view' on the screening of Aamir Khan starer 'Fanna' in the multiplexes of Gujarat.

Party spokesman Arun Jaitley said the screening was a 'local issue' and it would be dealt with by the state government appropriately. "We have no stand on that and we need not react to the statements made by multiplex owners".

He said Narmada was an emotional issue for the people of Gujarat and they have a strong view on the issue.

News reports quoting functionary of Multiplex Association of Gujarat said they had decided not to screen the film fearing attacks.

He also stated that theatres had to stop screening another Aamir Khan movie 'Rang De Basanti' following an agitation.
