Seized explosives came from the south: Patil
Sangli, Maharashtra, May 23 (UNI) Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister R R Patil today said investigations into the recently-seized weapons and explosives from Aurangabad indicate that they had arrived from the south.
Talking to reporters at the Circuit House here today, Mr Patil said Anti Terrorist Squads will be set up in Aurangabad and Nagpur along the lines of such a squad in Mumbai.
He commended the police for effecting the seizures before the occurance of any untoward incident.
Meanwhile, he informed that a budgetary provision of Rs 30 crore had been made for rehabilitation of the ''Phashepardhi'' tribe in the State.
He said the State Government proposes to rehabilitate the ''Phashepardhis'' and provide them with houses, agricultural land and ashram-schools as per their demands. An additional Rs 30 crore would be provided in next year's budget, he assured.
