Satyam to participate in CFO IT forum in Beijing

Mumbai, May 23: Satyam Computer will participate in the third CFO IT forum called 'The Empowered Enterprise', to be held in Beijing on Thursday.

Informing the BSE, the company said it will be represented by their Greater China operations head Raghavendra Tripathi, who will take part as a co-panelist along with a senior director from Gartner, China at a session titled 'Technology, innovation and China's future'.

The session will address the key issues and challenges surrounding the protection of IT in China. In addition, it will also examine the factors influencing research and development investment in China, the role of intellectual property (IP) protection and the steps being taken to promote innovation.

Hosted by CFO, China magazine, the annual event is targeted at companies based in or seeking a base in China.

Satyam claims to be the first Indian IT company to enter China when it set up Satyam Computer Services (Shanghai) Co Ltd as a wholly-owned foreign enterprise (WOFE) in 2003. Since then, the company's presence spans across Shanghai, Dalian and Guangzhou (to open soon).
