Sajjad Lone too refuses to attend Srinagar round-table

Srinagar, May 23 (UNI) People's Conference Chairman Sajjad Ghani Lone too has rejected the invitation to attend the second round- table conference here on May 24-25.

''We have decided against participating in the second round-table on Kashmir to be chaired by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh,'' a People's Conference spokesman told UNI today.

He said during his meeting with Prime Minister, Mr Sajjad Ghani Lone was asked to come up with a roadmap to find a peaceful and lasting solution to the Kashmir issue.

''We are in the process of making that roadmap and it is yet to be completed and as such have decided not to take part in the Round-Table conference. Once it will be completed, we are ready to take part in any round-table, conference or meet aimed at finding a permanent solution to the Kashmir issue,'' the spokesman said.

He said the People's Conference strongly supported the dialogue process and was ready to meet the Prime Minister at any forum.

Mr Sajjad Ghani Lone, the son of assassinated Hurriyat leader Abdul Ghani Lone, had met the Prime Minister in New Delhi on January 14.
