Revenue Patwari arrested by VB

Chandigarh, May 23 (UNI) The Punjab Vigilance Bureau (VB) today nabbed Revenue Patwari Gurdev Singh of Mal Halqa Illemewala of Ferozepur district while he was taking a bribe.

A VB spokesman here said that the accused Patwari was nabbed in a trap which was laid successfully by DSP (VB) Ashok Kumar in Ferozepur.

Gurdev Singh has been arrested under the Prevention of Corruption Act while he was accepting bribe of Rs 700 from a complainant of Village Gurdittiwala in Ferozpur district for issuing him a document pertaining to his land.
