Proclamation notice against doctor
Patna, May 23 (UNI) State vigilance investigation bureau today pasted a proclamation notice in the premises of a district court in Patna against doctor Mahesh Chandra.
Dr Chandra is an accused in the case of financial irregularities committed in purchase of eximer laser machine in eye department of Indira Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences (IGIMS) of Patna.
Proclamation notices were issued against Dr Chandra by the special vigilance judge of Patna, Ramnivas Prasad directing Dr Chandra to appear in the case by June one. However, if he fails to comply with the order, attachment of property warrant would be issued, the notice warned.
The former head of the department of eye department in IGIMS, Dr Chandra, is currently posted as an additional professor in Dr Rajendra Prasad Centre for ophthomatics sciences at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIMS) of New Delhi.
