PC World India to be launched in July

Bangalore, May 23 (UNI) The Indian edition of PC World, the largest selling technology publications in the world, will be launched in July, IDG Chairman Patrick McGovern informed today.

Talking to newspersons here, he said that with a readership of over 5.2 million, the magazine was read by more business decision makers than Forbes and Fortune magazines. PC World India would provide useable, credible and trustworthy information to the end users of technology and would contribute to the rapid growth of the technology industry in India, he added.

President and CEO of international publishing services of IDG David Hill said the Indian edition would become an important part of the PC World brand worldwide as India had one of the fastest growing IT markets.

Mr McGovern said IDG would be investing 20 million Dollars to bring out ten new magazines in the next three to four years.

He said the company would also set up a Test Centre at a cost of Rs 50 lakhs to test locally available products and gadgets. The lab would be the most modern in the country and would evaluate technology products based on the way people use them in real life and the magazine would provide unbiased reviews.
