Heavy rains forecast in Kerala, Anadaman and Nicobar Islands

Pune, May 23 (UNI) Heavy rains are likely to occur at most places in Kerala, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, and Lakshadweep.

Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at a few places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, West Bengal, Sikkim, Orissa, Jharkhand, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Uttaranchal, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, coastal Andhra Pradesh, and coastal Karnataka.

Rain or thundershowers are also likely to occur at isolated places in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chattisgarh, Konkan, Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Telangana, Rayalseema, Tamil Nadu, and interior Karnataka.

Heavy rains have occurred at many places in Kerala, and Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

Rain or thundershowers have occurred at many places in Haryana and at a few places in east Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Telangana and at isolated places in Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, West Bengal, Sikkim, Orissa, Bihar, west Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Rajasthan, coastal Andhra Pradesh, coastal Karnataka and Lakshadweep.

Day temperatures were markedly above normal in Assam and Meghalaya. They were appreciably above normal in some parts of Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Jammu and Kashmir, north coastal Andhra Pradesh, north Tamil Nadu, and coastal Karnataka.

They were above normal in some parts of coastal Orissa, Konkan, Goa, Rayalseema, south coastal Tamil Nadu and Kerala.

Day temperatures were appreciably to markedly below normal in interior Orissa, Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh, Uttaranchal, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, east Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, north Chattisgarh and in some parts of west Rajasthan, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura. They were below normal in some parts of Bihar, Saurashtra, Kutch, Marathwada, Telangana and in remaining parts of west Rajasthan. They were normal over the rest of the country.
