Generali sign agreement with Pantaloon to set up JV in India

New Delhi, May 23 (UNI) Assicurazioni Generali and Pantaloon Retail (India) Limited today announced they have signed an agreement for setting up of a life and non-life joint venture in India which will mark the entry of the Generali Group in the country.

The new company based in Mumbai will be named Future Generali.

Generali will have a 26 per cent stake in the venture, while Future Group will hold the remaining 74 through Pantaloon Retail, a company statement said.
