FM clears 12 FDI proposals totalling more than Rs 371 crore
New Delhi, May 23 (UNI) Finance Minister P Chidambaram has approved 12 Foreign Direct Investment(FDI) proposals totalling Rs 371,84 crore, including one by M/S AT&T relating to telecom business.
The proposals were cleared at the meeting of the Foeign Direct Investment Promotion Board (FIPB) at its meeting held on May 12, 2006.
The proposals cleared include those relating to food processing industries, information and broadcasting, telecommunications, small scale industries and economic affairs.
The two proposals pertaining to the I&B Ministy relate to-- Deccan Chronical published from Hyderbad and M/s Writers and Publishers Ltd involving "Danik Bhaskar' and "Divya Bhaskar' newspapers published from Bhopal.
