Dozen feared drowned in MP river
Rewa, Madhya Pradesh, May 23 (UNI) About a dozen people were feared drowned when a jeep carrying them plunged into the Tamas river near Jawa, this evening 70 km from this district town.
Quoting preliminary reports, police said the victims hailing from Badagaon, were en-route to attend a wedding.
The ill-fated vehicle was negotiating the river when a crude bridge gave way. Four people swam to safety. Divers were pressed into rescue operations. Senior officials have reached the spot.
