Brahmins criticise Arjun Singh for quota mess

Jaipur, May 23 (UNI) The Rajasthan Brahman Mahasabha (RBM) today accused Union Human Resource Development Minister Arjun Singh of creating the reservation turmoil to portray himself as a "messiah" of the backward classes.

At a press conference here today, RBM president Bhanvar Lal Sharma , who is also a Congress legislator said, ''Mr Singh has upset and embarassed the entire Cabinet.'' Mr Sharma said around 20 lakh Brahmins will converge in Delhi on November 12 to protest against the proposed 27 per cent reservation for the OBCs in institutions of higher education.
