Bengal thrash Bihar 4-0, to meet Punjab in the final

Jamalpur, Bihar, May 23: Tarif Ahmeed scored a hat-trick to help defending champions West Bengal thrash Bihar 4-0 in the semifinals here today and set up a title clash with Punjab in the 15th U-21 National Football Championship for Dutta Roy Trophy.

Bengal led 3-0 at the half time with Ahmeed scoring in the second, ninth and 28th Minute, while Buangpuia Ralte rounded off the tally netting the fourth goal in 55th minute.

Punjab, who won the trophy in 2004, beat Kerala 3-0 in the first semi-final yesterday.

The final will be played on Thursday.
